Bloggers / Youtube Vlog Review – IntheFrow vs Hello October

Today’s post features two of my favourite bloggers and their vlogs about an exciting opportunity that has arisen due to the success of their Blogs and YouTube channels.

INTHEFROW’s vlog, alongside Suzie’s focuses on a trip to Paris with luxury brand Givenchy, that they both attended alongside other bloggers *cue me religiously watching everyone’s vlogs of the occasion*.

Victoria’s vlogs provide similar visual representations of her lust-worthy blog; engaging the reader through an informal chatty tone and gorgeous image use.

Her constant eye contact with the camera and expressed opinions through hauls resonate the engagement from reading her blog. Her tone is friendly, as if you’re having a chat with your best mate rather than a famous fashion blogger.

Suzie‘s vlog of the same trip uses music overlaid with visual elements of the gorgeous hotel and her purchases. I particularly like that she used a video montage with no overlaid narration, something which Victoria has done in other videos. Her vlog allows viewers to experience this opportunity alongside her.

Victoria and Suzie use social media such as Twitter to promote content and document love for big brands and products. Their vlogs gains Givenchy publicity too. As discussed in lectures, the active use of social media is beneficial to this line of work.

I intend to create an audio aspect for my multimedia element, meaning my tone should be informal and chatty, like these vlogs, as they target a similar demographic to Cosmopolitan.
